Bach's Moonlight Manuscript

Justin Godoy, recorder; Meg Owens, oboe;
Joseph Gascho, harpsichord; Nika Zlataric, cello

Under cover of darkness, the young Johann Sebastian Bach secretly copied his older brother’s prized anthology of musical masterpieces. Eventually, Bach was found out and punished for his surreptitious copying, but not before he had learned the works of the greatest German composers before him. This fascinating program will include the composers that Bach admired — Buxtehude, Reincken, Pachelbel and Vivaldi, as well as original works by Bach himself.
